Help downloading ISO files
probinson73 probinso...@discussions.microsoft.com microsoft public msdn general I am trying to download an ISO image from the MSDN Site. When I download the image it downloads a download.ASP file rather than the .ISO file. Can somebody please advise. Thanks.

Is it possible to download Advanced Server ISO`s from anywhere?
It's supposed to be the preferred method to download debian iso's, and it doesn't congest the servers either. The mechanism is a bit different since the packages are separately downloaded, but it's kind of cool also. Hi Javier. I agree with you. But bittorrent should be easier for _new_ users :) Regards.

ftp/network install very confusing.
I downloaded both of the ISO images with Download Accelerator and I used Nero to burn them. The autorun on the CD dosen't work and when I try to make a boot floopy it says "... not a vaild win32 application". Hey group, I'm downloading the ISO images for Mandrake 9.1. When the files are done downloading the file has a .part extension on it. Downloading iso images
If you've got lotsa online time and money you'll end up with is an ISO image which means you simply can't download and install. But yes indeed, downloading ISO images is a not a sport for our Dialup brothers (unless flat-fee). ISO images should not present the current user with any problems.

I am presently downloading ISO, what a huge file. ONce i have download that file what should I do with it. As I first mention I'm new to the world of Unix and Linux and not to sure what is what. o1flame o1fl...@yahoo.com alt os linux slackware Just a small suggestion: if you guys aren't going to be using the iso, don't waste your time and the bandwidth downloading the iso. Just download the files that you need and do a HD install. That way, there will be less traffic and it saves you a CDR.

Problems Downloading Iso image
while I realize that the maximum speed is *supposed* to be about 160KBps, the ftp client that comes with windows 98 routinely reports download speeds in excess of 160KBps. I've gotten as high as 184KBps when downloading ISO images. simeon I wonder if your modem/router/bridge is doing any data compression.
